| Once things settled down, we visited our old
home port, the Magothy River.
Sid & Judy were having a party, so we elected to
arrive by boat! |

Susan's parents & sister came up to see the
Great Chesapeake Bay Schooner Race,
which starts right after the sailboat show ends. Since we no
longer owned the waterfront home on the Magothy, we all had
to squeeze into TabbyCat. It worked out quite well
with Fae in the Starboard v-berth and Mom & Vince in the
port guest queen berth. We sailed down to a C&C sailing club
event in Annapolis. Howard & Susan were holding an
Oktoberfest party at their dock. We woke up early the
next day, since Fae's flight was early in the afternoon and
had a fabulous day of sailing. We broad reached under
the Bay Bridge at 14 knots with the sunrise. Since the
wind was piping up, we furled the screacher and still
managed a sprightly 10 knots. It was still gusting to
18 knots at our slip, so it took Susan quite a few tries to
get the boat backed in.

2005 Boatshow - Tabby Cat was the
show boat! (Max Cat represented the 30' Maine Cats) We spent some nights
on the boat during the show, which
was interesting. Ralph & Arlene Drahos, Maine Cat's able captain &
first mate, stayed on the port side and were great company. Susan
worked the boatshow on Friday, Saturday & Monday at the IMIS booth.
Mike did a great job exercising the credit card and getting all those
nifty items that you just can't live without- foul weather gear,
binoculars, and lots of smaller items. At then end of the show,
Susan ran down the dock only to discover that Tabby had already left, so
she had to catch a ride on a moorings 43 to performance cruising where
the boat was moved for demo days. It was interesting to go out on
another cat after having now acclimated to the Main Cat, and only
further solidified her opinion that Maine Cats are very quiet and better
engineered than most of the other cats on the market.
